The Binkie Fairy

Alaina and Brayden have given up their binkies to the binkie fairy. The first night we tried Alaina had a meltdown so I ended up cutting the rubber nipple off of it and telling the kids that the dogs ate them. They were upset but wanted to at least hold them for the night. The next night Alaina informed me that she was ready to give her binkie to the binkie fairy so that the fairy could deliver them to all the new babies being born. "Like the baby in Aunt Rosie's tummy" she tells me. Round two went well. The binkies were put in two baskets (one for Alaina and one for Brayden) and in the morning the binkie fairy had left candy/ cookies and gifts for the kids. We are officially binki free! Both kids seem to have adjusted fine and haven't had any problems going to bed. YAY!
