My friends Christine and Matt were in town this week because Christine won the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. Matt and Christine reside in Sicily and I haven't seen them for almost 2 years. It was so nice to be able to see them.

Our trip to Orlando, FL was wonderful. It was great to relax with the kids and Nic and just spend some good quality "family time" Alaina was so excited to get in some pool time with Brayden and we had great weather the entire week. (It only rained one day.) We made two day trips over the week. The first to Sea World which is always one of my favorites and the second to Disney's Animal Kingdom which was pretty interesting as well. At Animal Kingdom we saw all sorts of exotic animals on our "safari" and then as we walked through the trails. Brayden and Alaina both loved seeing all the animals and seemed to have a wonderful time. Oh... and if you asked them their favorite part... it was the ducks.

One of the many beautiful birds that were living at Animal Kingdom.
